This we have got some great devices from OnePlus, Apple, Honor and Lenovo. This week also witnessed the launch of the first foldable smartphone in the market. In terms of specifications, Royole FlexPai features a 7.8-inch massive display, which can be folded into a 4-inch screen. The AMOLED display has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels with 4:3 aspect ratio. While the current trend is all about bezel-less screens, the FlexPai has thick bezels all around, which are easily overlooked by its foldable form factor.
Royole is justifying FlexPai’s premium price tag with not just a flexible display, but also with top-notch features. The handset is said to be powered by Snapdragon 855, which the company is referring to as Snapdragon 8150 since Qualcomm is yet to officially announce it. Very subtle.
OnePlus 6T has been launched at an event in New York, the phone has not many surprises as a company and other leaks has revealed all most all features of the device. New OnePlus 6T features a waterdrop notch, bigger 3,700mAh battery and ‘Night Scape’ for low-light photography.
As expected and reported earlier OnePlus 6T will ship with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. OxygenOS 9.0 on the OnePlus 6T comes with new gestures, a shortcut for Google Assistant, and over 500 optimizations in total.
The smartphone design is changing and after the notch, the next trend is the sliding camera design and after Mi MIX 3, Honor has launched the new Honor Magic 2 with the same design. Lenovo Z5 Pro is expected to launch with the similar design later on.
Key highlights of the Honor Magic 2 are it sports a triple rear camera setup, the company’s latest 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, 40W Magic Charge fast charging tech and Sliding front camera setup.
Apple has launched the new iPad Pro in today’s event at New York, iPad Pro is the big iPad update announced. Before the launch of the device CEO, Tim Cook said the iPad is now selling more units than laptops from major laptop makers.
The iPadPro now doesn’t have a home button and uses Face ID for unlocking the device. The iPadPro uses the Liquid Retina display seen in the iPhone XR. It now has an 11-inch display in the same size as the iPad Pro 10.5-inch
After being quiet for sometime Lenovo has launched three phones in quick succession. After the launch of Lenovo K9 and Lenovo S5 Pro, Lenovo Z5 Pro launched, which basically features the design similar to Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and Honor Magic 2. Basically, the device features the sliding design for the front camera and give a full display on the front.
Besides the front slider, the Lenovo Z5 Pro comes with some more interesting features like 4 cameras – two on the front and two on the back, Snapdragon 710 processor, in-display fingerprint sensor and so much more.
