As expected, Huawei added two new flagship phones to its product lineup in today event at London. unveiled the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 devices, almost a year to the day after it brought the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro to market.
Although both the device can be placed in the flagship categories, Huawei Mate 20 Pro is likely to be pushed as the more primary “flagship,” due to its additional premium features. Unlike their Mate-branded predecessor, the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro do not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, which will be to the chagrin of many. But that really is no surprise, as it is starting to feel like most flagships these days have jumped on the no-headphone-jack, same we will see in upcoming OnePlus 6T.
A unique feature of the device is the triple camera that the company has placed on the back of the devices. On the Mate 20 Pro, the three lenses are bundled into a square format alongside the flash and bring a 40-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 20-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The Mate 20 has a similar layout, though it only offers 16-megapixels and 12-megapixels for the first two lenses. Both phones come with a 24-megapixel front-shooter.
If we talk about the difference of both the device, the first thing that you will find the screen, Mate 20 offers Huawei Dewdrop display, 6.53″ RGBW Display, with FHD resolution of 2244X1080. While Mate 20 Pro offers Huawei FullView Display, 6.39″ Curved OLED Display, 2K+ (3120X1440). Other difference is the fingerprint sensor, on Pro version the fingerprint has been placed in-display while Mate 20 has fingerprint sensors on the back of the device.
Another key difference between these devices isn’t so apparent visually, but a wireless charging pad is embedded into the rear of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. In meaningful terms, this allows you to charge any device that is enabled for wireless charging, such as your buddy’s phone.
