As reported earlier, 2018 iPhone pre-order dates were leaked by German Carrier. As per the leak, Apple will be launching this year’s iPhones on September 12. The report further reveals that the upcoming iPhones will go on pre-orders on Sept 14 and the sale will kick start on Sept 21. One of those iPhone can be iPhone SE 2 if recent reports to be trusted.
Apple, like last year, is expected to launch three iPhones even this year, and reportedly they are going to be the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Plus, and a budget segment iPhone.
As per the report from Hi-Tech.Mail.Ru sheds some light on the specifications of the inexpensive iPhone, suggesting that it could be, in a way, be the successor of the iPhone SE and can be named as iPhone SE 2.
Reports suggest that there could be a second-generation 5.8-inch iPhone with an OLED panel, a larger 6.5-inch OLED iPhone and an affordable 6.1-inch iPhone with an LCD display. The lower priced 6.1-inch iPhone could be launched in five different colours.
As per the Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, the company could price the 6.5-inch OLED iPhone for $900-$1,000, while the smaller OLED iPhone could cost $800-$900. The 6.1-inch LCD iPhone might be priced between $600-$700 which is roughly around Rs 42,000 – Rs 50,000.
As per the reports, the 6.1-inch iPhone is said to sport a DCI-P3 LCD panel and Apple’s older A10 Fusion SoC. To recall, the A10 debuted with the iPhone 7 and 7 plus. In line with previously leaked images and rumours, the new report states that the upcoming smartphone will come with a notch on top of its display and support Apple’s Face ID as well.
It will reportedly come with at least 3GB RAM and its rear camera could get a slightly bigger sensor. A dual-SIM variant of the smartphone is also speculated.
Reports might be true considering the fact that the US company is looking at the ways to launch the cheaper iPhone in the market like India. In order to do so, they have recently switched to the Chinese company for the part supply from the Taiwanese company.
