OnePlus is expected to launch the new OnePlus 6T in October and several leaks and rumours have already started surrounding the device. A recent OnePlus 6T leak suggested that the smartphone would sport an in-display fingerprint sensor and a waterdrop style notch, which we have already witnessed in the OPPO and Vivo’s flagship smartphones.
Aesthetically, based on how OnePlus typically upgrades its smartphone these features appear to be the essential changes that we can expect on the upcoming OnePlus 6T.
But this time it looks like OnePlus 6T is going to be a big upgrade over OnePlus 6 after all. A new leak now hints at big changes in design and camera as well. OnePlus 6T Leak render reveals three cameras on the back and no fingerprint sensor module, which may be embedded within the screen.
OnePlus 6T has a tiny notch cut-out on top giving maximum room for display. At the rear, there’s a triple-camera setup aligned vertically. Something missing on the OnePlus 6T is a fingerprint sensor. A previous leak did suggest the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor.
With a focus on the exterior of the phone, OnePlus 6T is expected to come with the same specifications as OnePlus 6. Some minor improvements in areas like the battery and camera are expected. As far as the processor is concerned device is expected to run on Snapdragon 845 chipset.
The device may come with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage options. The camera configuration of the OnePlus 6T is still unknown, however, some rumours suggest that the new flagship device could pack a 12MP f/1.5 sensor, a 20MP f/2.4 sensor, and a depth sensor. Lastly, the handset could be launched with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box.
Earlier this year OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 6 which became a huge success. The devices come has a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layered on top. The smartphone runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. Lower storage models with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is also available.
