If you are looking to upgrade your old iPhone with the latest iPhone XR, then we have some good news for you. The price of iPhone XR has been reduced unofficially. The device is available in India on the discounted price via offline stores.
Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom tweeted that the iPhone XR is now available at its store starting at Rs 70,500 for the 64GB variant. The 128GB and 256GB models are priced at Rs 75,500 and Rs 85,900, respectively. The price drop has not been made official by Apple and is seemingly only available via offline retailers.
The iPhone XR was launched starting at Rs 76,900 in India going up to Rs 91,900. The price drop makes the XR a little more affordable, although “affordable” is a pretty relative term here. Yes, the XR is cheaper than the iPhone XS and XS Max, but it still carries an ultra-premium price tag compared to its competition. As of now, it is unclear whether more offline retailers are selling the iPhone XR at this new pricing, or whether this is a Mahesh Telecom-exclusive. The pricing on Flipkart remains the same for all the iPhones.
iPhone XR has been launched by Apple along with iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max last year and was Apple’s best-selling iPhone last November, but the overall iPhone sales have been on the decline. Apple is struggling with iPhone sales worldwide and looking for ways to increase iPhone sales in markets like India and China.
If we talk about the specifications of the device, iPhone XR has a 6.1-inch LCD Liquid Retina HD display (1792×828). It is powered by the A12 Bionic chipset and brings 3GB of RAM. The iPhone XR also supports Face ID and ships with iOS 12. The phone gets a single 12MP wide-angle camera on the back and comes with OIS and f/1.8 aperture. The front sees a 7MP TrueDepth camera similar to the XS and XS Max.
So, if you are planning to buy or upgrade your old iPhone then this seems to be a good time to go ahead with.
