Oppo has launched the online-only brand in India in May this year, with the name of Realme. As we have reported earlier, the company is all set to launch the second smartphone in the country. As per the earlier reports, unlike Realme 1 this device is going to be Flipkart exclusive, brand parting away from Amazon. Indian e-commerce giant has launched the Realme 2 teaser on their website.
Ahead of the launch, Flipkart has published a microsite for the upcoming smartphone which reveals multiple of information about the device. It has already been revealed that the Realme 2 will embrace the notch and it is being dubbed as “A Notch Above.”
The smartphone will feature a 6.2-inch display and it is expected to support Full HD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and a taller 19:9 aspect ratio. The Realme 2 is also set to offer dual rear camera setup, which was missing from the original Realme 1.
Flipkart Realme 2 teaser has also revealed that Realme 2 will pack a large 4,230mAh battery, which will be one of the biggest battery capacity among smartphones in this price segment. The company says most consumers want their dream smartphone to have a notched display, dual rear camera setup and a bigger battery that can last all day long.
While Realme 1 runs the Helio P60 processor, Realme 2 is likely to run a Snapdragon processor, which was also confirmed by Qualcomm.
The phone will be priced under Rs 10,000, as confirmed by Realme, and will be available in Red, Black, and Blue colour variants.
Other than the specification one point which needs to be highlighted is “While Realme 1 was launched as an Oppo device, this phone is being launched independently, as Realme appears to have separated its operations from Oppo.”
With 10K price tag and Snapdragon processor, this phone could be tough to beat device for the competitors.
