What we have speculated as Redmi X has been launched as Redmi Note 7. But the real thing is yet to arrive, Xiaomi is expected to launch several Redmi and Mi phones in February. The company recently launched its first phone under the now “independent” Redmi brand aka the Redmi Note 7 in China. In February Xiaomi reportedly plans to launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Redmi Go, and the Xiaomi Mi 9 and also the company’s first foldable phone could be showcased. A newly leaked teaser poster now reveals that Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new phone called the Redmi X on February 15.
As reported by a website named playfuldroid.com Xiaomi is yet to officially announce the launch date of the Redmi X, but the leaked poster which almost looks like an official one suggests February 15 launch. The poster doesn’t reveal many details about the Redmi X but it suggests a very interesting piece of news for the Mi Fans.
The Chinese Spring Festival starts on February 5 and ends on February 15, so that’s a great time to launch a new product. The Redmi Note 5 and 5 Pro were announced on February 14 last year.
The poster reveals that the upcoming Redmi X will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Having said that this will be the first Redmi phone to sport such a option for unlocking the device. Until now we have seen Xiaomi using the in-display fingerprint sensor technology only for its flagship level phones and not any of the pocket friendly Redmi phones.
Looks like Redmi X will be different and may not be a very affordable smartphone. Most Redmi phones known for the great value that they offer for the money, Redmi X could be an exception. The Redmi X may not be as expensive as the flagships but also may not be as affordable as most Redmi phones. Rumours suggest that the De could be powered by Snapdragon 710 chipset.
At the launch of the Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi officially confirmed that the company will be launching the Redmi Note 7 Pro in February. This is why some rumours hint that the Redmi X could actually be the Redmi Note 7 Pto. There’s no official information about the Redmi X or the Redmi Note 7 Pro from Xiaomi yet.
Redmi X is going to be more powerful than Redmi Note 7, the device is expected to come with Snapdragon 710 instead of a Snapdragon 660 of Redmi Note 7.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has announced the coming of Redmi Note 7 to India very soon. The company has officially teased the India launch of Redmi Note 7 and says that the phone will turn the industry upside down.
