Samsung seems to be in the market with the all guns out against Chinese vendors in the mobile market. Recently Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy A8s with punch-hole front camera setup. As per the reports company is working on the 4 other device under the new M-series and now the recent reports suggest that company is also working on the new device under A-series smartphone, dubbed Samsung Galaxy A50.
According to a new report by GalaxyClub, the device will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery and will sport a 24MP primary sensor on the back. The report doesn’t mention any details about the other camera sensors on the back, overall device is expected to come with three cameras setup like Galaxy A7.
It will be powered by the company’s own Exynos 9610 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. The device will run Google’s Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the company’s own One UI on top.
The Samsung Galaxy A50 is expected to be the first Samsung smartphone with an in-display fingerprint sensor, similar to the one seen on the OnePlus 6T and the Vivo NEX. The Galaxy A50 is most likely to support Qi-based wireless charging, which makes it the first Galaxy A series smartphone to support wireless charging. Just like most of the premium smartphones from Samsung, the Galaxy A50 is most likely to feature an OLED display.
The device will come with Samsung’s new Infinity display technology with an Infinity-O or an Infinity U notch. With respect to storage, the smartphone will be made available in 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage with support for storage expansion via microSD card slot. The smartphone is most likely to have an all-glass design with higher screen to body ratio.
As reported earlier Samsung is expected to launch the new M-series in January 2019. The series is expected to come with four devices and to be placed in Mid-budget segment in the market.
