To gain back the market shares from the Chinese competitors and start the new year with bang, Samsung has done all the guns ready. Samsung India has geared up to launch a new Samsung M-Series with three smartphones in January 2019. Reliable industry sources told IANS on Wednesday that the India launch will mark the global debut of Galaxy ‘M’ series. According to the dealers, the “world’s first” new smartphone series is being launched with industry-first features. As reported earlier M20 design was leaked, and later on three devices under Samsung M series M10, M20 and M30 were spotted on cross-platform processor benchmark Geekbench. Galaxy M30 may be powered by an Exynos 7885 chip with 4GB RAM, read the listing. Galaxy ‘M‘ series comes on the heel of Galaxy A7 and A9 Samsung’s first triple and quad-rear camera devices.
After introducing the new M- Series in the Samsung portfolio, company will have the A- Series which has some great phones like Samsung Galaxy A7 with triple camera setup and Galaxy A9 (2018) is the world first quad camera phone. Then they have the Note and S-series which is flagship series and has a good market shares in their price segment. Then They have the J- Series which is doing decent job in the entry level smartphones.
As of now, we have no idea about the prices of the M-series from Samsung. So, it will be tough to give the clear picture in which segment it will feet in, but considering the competition Samsung is facing from Chinese vendors it will be mid-budget phones.
