Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T

OnePlus 6T is finally official after a long wait. The power packed device has in-display fingerprint sensor known as Screen lock. Now when the company is getting a great response for the device, as usual, the new colour is coming for the device. As per the reports, the Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T is expected to be launched soon.

OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 6T in India for a starting price of Rs 37,999. The smartphone is available in two colours Mirror Black and Midnight Black in India and globally. But, a new report now claims that OnePlus could be working on a new Thunder Purple variant of the 6T with gradient finish on the back.

To recall, OnePlus applied the same strategy for its last two flagships the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 5T. The OnePlus 6 was first launched in Mirror and Midnight black, but later introduced the Silk White and Red colour variant. OnePlus also launched the Avengers Edition of the OnePlus 6. For the OnePlus 5T, the company soon after the official India launch introduced a special Star Wars Edition.

The Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T appears to have a gradient hue that goes all the way from violet to lilac to amaranth shade of pink, depending on how the back panel is reflecting the light. All previous gradient backgrounds arrived with a glass panel or another transparent solution, meaning the Thunder Purple version will be closer to the original Mirror Black rather than the Midnight Black which has a metal panel.

The key highlight of the 6T is that unlike the OnePlus 6, the 6T includes the fingerprint sensor inside the display instead of on the back cover. OnePlus has also ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack, which is why the phone comes bundled with a Type-C bullets earphones. On the camera front, the phone comes with a dual camera setup on the back with a primary sensor of 16MP and secondary sensor of 20MP. On the front, the OnePlus 6T comes with a 16MP selfie shooter. OnePlus has included some new camera modes on the OnePlus 6T camera including Night Scape, Studio Lighting model, and more.

Last week the Thunder Purple phone was briefly listed on Amazon with a €580 price tag for the 8/128 GB. We are pretty sure this will be the actual cost (same for both Black options), since OnePlus generally uses the same price tag for new colors as it did with the Red or White OnePlus 6. The Purple device will likely keep the impressive specs like Snapdragon 845, UD fingerprint scanner and waterdrop notch on the 6.4” AMOLED screen.
