Another week past where we have welcomed Ganpati Bappa in India and the week was full of events from the smartphone industry as well. This week we have seen the launch of 2018 iPhone’s. Where we have seen the three-Smartphones launched along with Apple watch series 4. Let’s check out the top tech news from the Mobile industry this week.
Apple iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max both sports Super Retina display. Apple iPhone XS Plus has a Super Retina Display with 2688 x 1242 pixels resolution which comes with 453 PPI. Apple iPhone XS Max and iPhone XS are HDR 10 displays, 120 Hz for fast response, 3D Touch feature. These are TrueTone Displays.
The iPhone Xs is an upgrade on the iPhone X, while iPhone Xs Max is the largest phone Apple has ever built. This will, of course, be the fastest iPhone too, powered by the A12 Bionic chip the first 7nm processor.
iPhone XR is more affordable and will replace the 8 series. But affordable does not mean cheap, it is just going to be more accessible to a larger audience.
Apple iPhone XR camera on the front is same as iPhone XS. It also has one and a half hour more battery life than iPhone 8 Plus.
The iPhone XR is meant to be a more affordable iPhone and will have a 6.1-inch LCD screen with liquid Retina display in place of the OLED and aluminum body instead of steel. This has a 12MP single camera at the back.
Apple Watch Series 4 is here and it looks exactly like the leaks predicted. It has a 30 percent larger display, thinner bezels. Apple Watch Series 4 will show more on the Watch Face thanks to this bigger screen. The breath app will now be available on a watch face. Just raise your wrists and the Breathe app will be available. There’s a new Fire, Water, and Vapour Face as well for the Watch Series 4.
After launching OnePlus 6, 5 months back OnePlus 6T will be launched on October 17 with an in-display fingerprint scanner. According to an email sent to CNET by OnePlus, the OnePlus 6T will surely have an in-display fingerprint scanner, and in the United States, it will be exclusive to T-Mobile.
Other rumoured features on the OnePlus 6T include triple rear cameras, slightly bigger battery, but the major highlighting aspect would the fingerprint-on-display. OnePlus believes that it will give an additional option for its users to unlock the device by just lifting the handset.
After long wait and anticipations, WhatsApp for Jio Phone has officially arrived. The app, which was initially planned to debut on KaiOS-based Jio Phone on August 15, is now rolling out through the JioStore. WhatsApp on late Monday confirmed the latest release and said that the app will be rolled out for all Jio Phone users by September 20.
