The main attraction of the last week was around the upcoming OnePlus 6T, finally, after lots of rumours and leaks OnePlus 6T has a launched day and it is coming on 30th of October, WhatsApp is going to show Ads in status tab and Samsung launched the first phone with 4 cameras.
The OnePlus 6T launch date has been finally announced, OnePlus has sent the information of the launch on the mail to buy the ticket of launch event starting 17th October from 10:00AM IST. The device will be launched on 30th of October in New Delhi at KDJW Stadium (Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex).
The launch event will start from 8:30 PM IST on 30th October, making the most talked phone a reality.
A top Xiaomi executive has shared a poster on Weibo, which reveals that the Mi MIX 3 won’t be the only device launching on October 15. The Chinese company is also likely to announce the Mi Note 4 on the same day. The teaser has the words – “Do not call LEX, my name is Mi Note 4.” This gives us an indication that Xiaomi is going to launch Mi Note 4 along with Mi MIX 3.
It has been reported that WhatsApp for Android version 2.18.305, the latest beta version, has received an implementation of ads in the Status section. To recall, a Wall Street Journal report in August revealed that ads will be served through WhatsApp Status starting next year. The ads will be powered by Facebook’s native advertising system and will “help familiarise users with business” on WhatsApp.
After lots of speculations and leaks, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL has now been officially announced, though thanks to the spate of leaks, pretty much everything was known after the two phones. Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL sport a design language similar to the Pixel 2 phones, though Google has included dual-front cameras on both. The Pixel 3 XL also sports a notch now, while the Pixel 3 has a bigger 5.5-inch display which is also edge-to-edge.
It seems that companies are in a race to launch the phone with more camera, a leak suggested that Nokia is planning to launch the phone with 5 cameras and now Samsung came up with four camera smartphones, the Galaxy A9 Pro (2018).
Wonder if that will help increase the camera quality any bit, but for what it’s worth, Samsung seems to be on top of this game. Last week the company launched the first smartphone to come with a triple-camera setup at the back, the Galaxy A7 in South Korea. Now, the company is launching the first smartphone with a four-camera setup at the back, the Galaxy A9 Pro (2018) on 11 October.
