In order to achieve the full screen display on the smartphone, Vivo has used dual screen setup in their Vivo NEX2. Basically, Vivo NEX2 features 5.49-inch 1080×1920 display on one side and a 1080×2340 display on the other, which are OLED and AMOLED panels respectively. The former side also houses the triple camera surrounded by the Lunar Ring flash module, so that this whole set-up can be used for both selfies and general photography you just need to switch displays. Now, as per the reports Vivo NEX2 sibling is under the radar of company.
Vivo NEX2 features snapdragon 845 chipset and comes with the price tag of $720. With all this device fall in the range of flagship and with the development of Vivo NEX2 sibling, the company would be targeting the mid-range market segment.
First reported by a Weibo user, two variants of the VIVO NEX Dual bearing the V1820A and Vivo V1820T model numbers have just cleared TENAA. Recall that the VIVO NEX Dual display arrived with the V1821A and V1821T model numbers, so it is safe to assume the newly certified devices are variants of the VIVO NEX Dual display that is meant to arrive at a more affordable option.
Digging into the details, the new model is expected to come fitted with the same display as the standard VIVO NEX Dual display bearing a 5.49-inch rear OLED screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution and a 6.39 front AMOLED screen with a 1080 x 2340 resolution. As a more affordable variant, the device will ditch the SDM 845 SoC for a 2.2GHz octa-core chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB non-expandable storage. The SoC is suspected to be the same SoC that powered the VIVO NEX the Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform.
The device when launched will also drop the 12MP + 2MP + TOF triple camera setup for a less capable setup with a 12MP + 13MP + 2MP triple camera. It will retain the in-display fingerprint sensor as well as Android 9.0 Pie.
Considering the nature of company, which produces numbers of device with same design with tweaked hardware configuration to reach maximum user base, we can expect these devices from company entering into market soon.
