WhatsApp is one of the leading instant messaging apps in the world and same has been proved in the recent report by US-based app analytics company, Apptopia showed that in the past three months, WhatsApp users spent 85 billion hours on the app. This translates to “11.425 hours for every human being on the planet”.

As per the recent reports, WhatsApp is going to make it more user-friendly for the Android users. First is going to be Dark Mode and second will be the swipe to reply.
The Facebook-owned app recently submitted the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.18.282 through the Google Play Beta Program. WhatsApp is now working on to make ‘Swipe to Reply’ option available to users. This facility is not available yet, but the chat app is in working on to make this feature available to all users, according to wabetainfo.com.
Swipe to Reply feature was implemented years ago on WhatsApp for iOS. This allows users to quickly reply to messages with a gesture. The chat app had recently added ‘tap and hold+type’ feature to Android, but ‘Swipe to Reply’ would certainly be a better option.

If we talk about the dark mode presently, the app only provides users with an option to change the wallpaper background for their chats that exists as the only minimal means of customization.
The shift from repetition that the ‘Dark Mode’ provides has become part of various social media applications since the recent past, such as Twitter and YouTube.
On the other hand, Facebook has also announced the launch of the feature for its Messenger app which is as of now, does not have a release date.
Dark mode is currently available in other apps like YouTube, Twitter, Discord, and Reddit. As of now, there is no official news from WhatsApp about the ‘Dark mode’ plan.
