The only thing the contestants will have to do is stop using a smartphone for a year and use a 1996-era phone for makingcalls to win 72 lakhs.

Condition of the prize isyou cannot use the smartphone or tablet, other than that you can keep on using a laptop or computer and even smart devices powered by Google Home or Amazon Alexa. For communication needs, you will have to use the 1996-era feature phoneprovided to you by the company. This simple condition can help you win 72 lakhs.

Natalia Suarez, an associate brand manager of Vitaminwater in a CNBC report told, “We don’t think there’s anything more boring than mindlessly scrolling through your phone, and this is an opportunity to take that stance against routine and give someone $100,000 to do something uniquely awesome with their time.”

To enter the contest, you need to submit a post on Twitter or Instagram including the hashtags nophoneforayear and #contest, and outlining what you’d do if you couldn’t swipe or scroll for a year. The deadline to enter is January 8, 2019.

If you feel that one year is too much to avoid the smartphone then you can also choose for a duration of six months to win a prize money of $10,000 or Rs 7.2 lakh in India if you thinka year without a smartphone is too much. The company will select someone byJanuary 22 and handover the old phone.
